Snap and Search with Einstein Visual Search

Reports indicate that 62% of millennials want Visual Search over any other Search technology. Also, Gartner predicts that by 2021, brands that offer visual and voice search will increase their digital revenue by 30%. To meet this increasing customer expectation, Salesforce announced the Einstein Visual Search, an AI-powered feature that enables searching, shopping, and discovery through photos. Users can upload a newly found image from their smartphones and the Einstein Visual Search feature will automatically find a visually similar product. This advanced search feature improves search as different users use different search patterns. Each and every search is conducted within a given retailer and while the default feature allows uploads from a mobile device, marketers could easily extend the feature to include a desktop or a laptop.

Einstein Recommendation Engine Extended Across Platforms

Recommendation Engine enables retailers to deliver the right offer at the right time to the right customer, resulting in increased conversions and Customer Lifetime Value (CLV). A research by Barilliance indicates that up to 31% of ecommerce site revenue is generated from personalized product recommendations, and McKinsey reports that as much as 35% of Amazon’s revenue is generated by its recommendation engine. Previously, the Einstein Recommendation Engine was available only in a Commerce Cloud storefront. However, this feature is now available through API across different channels, like providing recommendations on a product catalog or via the app on a store representative’s tablet.

Commerce API Explorer

Salesforce also released the new Commerce API Explorer that allows developers to search across an API library and test different functions and calls.
